Your cover's as good as blown, Stanley Alfred Hurst.
This page is colored by Megan! We also have
a new vote incentive.

Cover blown? hmmm... nah. Will probably be having a long chat with Mr. Anguish later on though.
Stanley's still one of his own/a candidate to be such. Anguish wouldn't do anything that would ruin such things.
Point by the fact he just offered a long time employee a promotion after giving out a "find this data" order due to them having that post for quite some time.
Also: Awwww... they're Sharing a shake in the last pannel. Cute.

If Doctor Kinesis is only half as inteligent as he always acts, it is almost certain that his and Wills student records have mysteriously gone missing. It would also be a rather save bet that the only record of him making his doctor as Stanley Alfred Hurst are the legal deposits of his doctoral thesis. And if he is really smart he will have laid numerous false traces to cover his identity.
I am also sure that William(Computer) will watch all activities on their student records for suspicious enquiries. And if Anguish now lets his subordinates do research on Kinesis it will probably alarm William and he will in turn alarm Kinesis. So I would expect that we will see some interesting reactions from Kinesis in turn.

Cover ruined indeed!
Stan is totally enjoying doing the one drink, two straw thing. You Slay dog you.
Oh, and Anguish is totally going to find out his secret identity.

That Rebecca, really pullin' in that over-time.
I wonder how much a proper sith-like evil overlord pays...

Well, if only /one/ set of Stanley records are missing, that also would be suspicious, since Anguish already knows the first name. And I mean, there's yearbooks and stuff. It'd just take more searching.
Also, who is the guy with glasses in the vote incentive?

My initial thought was along the lines: "Where are the student records of the graduation class of 200X? It's like we never had any students that year!"
But then I asked myself what would be more suspicious a large number of missing records or just a single one missing. A single missing record can be chalked up to a filing error(misplaced records are more common then most people believe). But dozens or even hundreds of missing records? Very suspicious.
If you additionally supply some false traces, like Stanley Alfred Hurst going over seas working for the red cross or dying under inocuous circumstances, that would discourage most if not all further investigations.
As for false records, they would pose a lot of problems, the smallest would be that they need to look their age and have to use the right paper, font and ink.
For these reasons I go with the scenario of Stanley's and Will's records missing and Will watching for suspicious enquiries.

Why is everyone saying that Kinesis should have deleted his college records? As far as we know, he wouldn't think there was anything incriminating in them. He and Will maybe made a few cool things in their classes, but this is a world of /superheroes./ Everyone and their Dad probably invents cool things. As nice as it would be to assume that Kinesis could magically have foreseen this circumstance, you can't plan for everything. This is one random person from his past recognizing him, even though Kinesis seemed pretty sure in the prologue that nobody would recognize him in-costume. But it's not just any random person. it's a super hero. He was taught by a trained super hero before Kinesis even knew that he wanted to be a super villain. I think that Kinesis screwed the pooch on this one but that its also not completely his fault.

With enough hard work, Rebecca could go from secretary
to henchmen- or even better, minion, complete with 401k and dental.

Any villain with even mild paranoia will not want anyone getting their hands on his history. That's a gateway to all sorts of unpleasantness.
, 27 May 2015 08:50 am
Anguish will find out
IF not today, then soon by some other means, as he's clever too. I'm scared...

Back in Chapter 2 Dr. Kinesis explicitly states his true name is a matter of utmost secrecy(for the complete dialog see: Chapter 2 Page 112 Warm Welcome). This and other statements by Kinesis indicate that it is almost a save bet that he has taken meassures to ensure that no one can link Dr. Tal A. Kinesis to Stanley Alfred Hurst. Especially that no one can make conclussion that they are the same person.
As for the Why, I can think of several reasons why he doesn't want anybody to know to much about his past, the most important is probably that he cares about his parents and sister and wouldn't want that somebody harms them. While there are several villains whose reaction to an abduction of their close ones would be like "I will make sure that they get a proper burial." or "Sorry, but that is none of my problems.", I don't think Kinesis is one of those.
