Your Overlords Declare:
Alexis_Royce, July 2nd, 2012, 10:16 pm

Colors by Chelsea this week.

And man...you guys really had a lot of questions, eh? Well, we're going to start answering them, so click Computer under the comic to see them. And if you could make a habit of clicking that link and voting for Evil Plan every day, you have no idea how much that helps us out. </obnoxious pitch>

We'll be answering questions mostly in the order they were posted. But since a lot of you asked multiple questions, we'll just answer one to start with, so everyone can have a turn. Then we'll go back around. Sound fair? :D

EDIT: To clarify, questions are closed now. We've got a lot. XD

Yay I really love this comic. Protocol Tasty? Steve made us a sandwich? is it a tasty sandwich

diceknight, July 2nd, 2012, 10:52 pm

Operation Tasty sounds like a fun operation. And I love the character Q&A as voting incentive! I might totally have to play copycat on that. >.>

BattleStarX, July 2nd, 2012, 11:15 pm

love the vote incentive. Chibi-Kinny is always cute.

Sir Rigel, July 2nd, 2012, 11:21 pm

@Alice So, have you managed to create an Einstein-Rosen bridge to a pocket dimension yet?

(You know, for keeping the excess fruitcakes/Dangerous "Toys" in?)

Alexis_Royce, July 3rd, 2012, 6:24 am

@diceknight: No worries. I stole it from some other webcomic artists years ago, and I think they found it elsewhere before that.

@Sir Rigel: I'll tack your question onto the list, since I don't think I was clear enough. ^_^ But everyone else: questions are closed for now. I've just got so many. XD

Sir Rigel, July 3rd, 2012, 8:47 am

@Alexis_Royce Oh, I didn't know, please don't tax your self for my own sake!

Alexis_Royce, July 3rd, 2012, 9:55 am

@Sir Rigel: One more question won't hurt. ^_^

Arcalian, July 3rd, 2012, 11:18 pm

I hope it was a....
...roast beef and spicy mustard sandwich.

Diyrachan, July 5th, 2012, 8:57 am

mmmmm....sandwiches... Awesome name kinny XD

Henry (Guest), July 5th, 2012, 10:23 am

I'm mean, so I'm gonna ask one more, but only 'cause it's worthwhile.
Is anyone ever going to note the downright miracle of someone finding his device, that person being a latent telekinetic, (unless his device works on anyone, or latent kinetics are pretty common) and not dying when he fell on it (assuming that a half-millimeter off kills hims instead of giving him powers)?

Not as in "This is a crappy story way" but "Hang on, that is HIGHLY unlikely! This was clearly set up! Someone planned it!"

Second, have you considered bringing up the issue of how being knocked in the head (not to speak of knocked-out) is in fact extremely dangerous, and how lucky Amazing-dude is not to have killed anyone so far with all the people he knocks out?

I don't mean this as only criticism, I mean it as in that you have two potential stories exploring questions that few superhero/villain comics ever bring up. (Of course, the humans in this world might not be 'humans' as we define them and could be far more resistant to head trauma than we are).

For example 1: Kinesis or other scientist (or someone that's generally good with numbers) hearing the whole story about Amazing-Man's powers and concluding that someone set the events up, leading to a wild chase for the Mastermind (whether or not there is one).

Example 2: One of the minions that Amazing-Man punches isn't waking up (coma or dead) which forces him to deal with the very real possibility that he killed someone by ignorance or mistake and forces him to find a new way to take down enemies non-lethally.

Alexis_Royce, July 5th, 2012, 10:39 am

@Henry: Heya! I'll address this here, as it's not really a vote incentive question, but one for me. I like the amount of thought that you put into those, and I feel pretty bad about having to dodge your questions. But I generally hide from anything asking about what will or won't happen later on in the plot (when will Alice and Kinesis get together, what's William doing, etc). I'd much rather answer those questions in comic format! ^_^ So I can't answer those, though I'll admit I've thought about those questions in a slightly different way.

But I do love to hear ideas like that! It's really fantastic to know that people are thinking that deeply into the comic; and I always adore it.

And if I'm taking too much time, that's what fanfiction is for. Or so I'm quickly learning. XD

Henry91, July 5th, 2012, 1:05 pm

I wouldn't read too much into it.
After all, I think too deeply about everything, and spend too much time on TvTropes. :P
Also going to abuse your attention to thank you for an awesome and surprisingly unique "played-straight-yet-deconstructed" supervillain/hero comic for several years. :3

Oh, one final thing. Has he ever considered using "kineblades"?
As in lightweight and (if it exists in the universe) kinetically sensitive razorblades, large (1-2 dm, hidden along arms and legs and robust enough to take a low-cal bullet) and small (1-2 cm ones, think Buzz-swarms from Command and Conquer 3) ones?

You could theoretically do some amazing things with low-strength telekinetics (heat = vibration, anyone?) if you have sufficiently fine control.
Then agains I might be geeking out too much and should probably post shorter comments.

Alexis_Royce, July 5th, 2012, 1:17 pm

@Henry91: Similar(ish) to knives; Kinesis' weapon was originally going to be needles. Hundreds. Works with his dexterity, and they're relatively lightweight. Eventually abandoned so that I could play with gun logistics & tropes, and so that I wouldn't have to draw someone getting shredded by hundreds of needles in Evil Plan. That kind of gore is for Sire.

Henry91, July 5th, 2012, 1:19 pm

Nearly too bad you didn't, but I suppose needles and razors don't quite have the armor-piercing one might want as a supervillain.

Of course, getting mutilated by bullets is pretty gory too.

Then again, there are many tropes that help you avoid having to actually depict people getting gorn-ified.
And Refuge In Audacity comedy-killing, y'kno', like you already did with the fruitcake-henchman. :3

sonicmadgirl (Guest), July 5th, 2012, 1:33 pm

Wiat. Quickly finding you're taking too long from fanfics? Would that be referring to my MANY KinesAlice fics, perhaps?

sonicmadgirl (Guest), July 5th, 2012, 1:38 pm

Vote incentive Kinny,,,
Romantic feelings towards Alice?WeOur questioner never mentioned that...but now we can easily tell... HE IS HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH HER!

Henry91, July 5th, 2012, 1:50 pm

"But I generally hide from anything asking about what will or won't happen later on in the plot (when will Alice and Kinesis get together, what's William doing, etc)."
WHEN they will get together?

Glad we got that out of the way. :D

You know every time I read this I have to wonder what "Operation: Steve make us a sandwich" is and why it's so genius.
