Your Overlords Declare:
Alexis_Royce, July 16th, 2012, 9:06 pm

Sometimes, you just can't trust a minion to remember their training. They need a tasty little reminder.

Coloring by Megan this week! And we do have a new vote incentive; click Computer under the comic and it'll take you to another answered question.

BattleStarX, July 16th, 2012, 10:17 pm

Clever, Kinny. Real clever.

This might actually put you up in "megalomaniac" territory.

Andrew Wolfwood, July 16th, 2012, 10:21 pm

as long as biting down on one will not kill me, give me one

Hydra, July 17th, 2012, 12:13 am

Smart but creepy.

Sir Rigel, July 17th, 2012, 12:39 am

Signed and done.

So, whats this about test subject?

KirtiMiko, July 17th, 2012, 12:43 am

... So is the candy actually good?

Zrooper, July 17th, 2012, 1:06 am

I was expecting them to turn into mutant monsters or something...

pat15, July 17th, 2012, 1:50 am

The minion with blue eyes has the green candy, and the one with green eyes has blue candy :D

This isn't a constructive comment, I just found that funny :I

I will have to revise my opinion of the good doctor.

Respect = increased twenty-fold.

A good employer is one that cares for the well-being of his or her employees. As a supervillain that did not just off captured minions, he obviously cared more than he let on.

Arcalian, July 17th, 2012, 4:50 pm

Of course, we already knew Kinesis was one, but even so.

ASP, July 17th, 2012, 5:15 pm

Disappointed they didn't go hulk mode, but this is more inventive.
Maybe operation "Stan make me a sandwich" is the one that gives them super strength

Edd (Guest), July 17th, 2012, 5:23 pm

I like how Doc knows that his minions will always say something stupid.

A few days ago NPR did a small report on CIA spending. One of the things they developed was a device you place in your mouth that vibrates the user's skull in such a way that they hear things.

That way the user can hear what his/her commander is telling him/her without having an ear piece or anyway for someone else to directly hear it.

In some cases the mouth piece can be made to look like a set of teeth or a tooth.

Alexis_Royce, July 17th, 2012, 5:25 pm

@Edd: Damn it, CIA. And here we thought we were being clever. Maro said they were one step ahead of us.

RazorD9, July 18th, 2012, 6:17 pm

Recordable Candy: So good, it will drive you crazy!

Henry91, July 22nd, 2012, 7:52 am

Has Kinesis been reading the Evil Overlord list?

... Actually, IS there such a list in-universe?

Oh, and have you ever considered doing a "Codex" like thingy, like Mass-Effect has?

Maybe not as a direct part of the comic, but maybe in the "Other" folder or something like that?

Reduces the need for exposition of things characters should already know. :P

Alexis_Royce, July 22nd, 2012, 9:37 am

@Henry91: If people were ever that interested in the EP world, I might, and there is a lot of stuff that is never going to make it into the comic. But I don't think anyone wants to sit and read about the political and economic status of the United States in Evil Plan. It'd make for some dry reading. XD I plot out some very boring stuff.
And yes, the minions should already know this, but they're also very stupid. ^_^ And I think seeing them get orders like this is kinda fun! I guess it's still pretty dry reading, too. Just not quite as dry as the paper on the history of super-government relations I have in my notes. XD

Henry91, July 23rd, 2012, 1:16 am

Nono, not dry at all!
It's epic to see an evil overlord that at least considers the stuff on that list. :P

If you live in a comic book-ish world, your goons are idiots and you have a strong urge for supervillainy stuff, you either adapt, or go on pretending stuff works like they do in "our" world (which you paradoxically wouldn't even know about. :P Unless our world is the comic book world of their world. o.o).

You can only work within the system you live in, no?

And I didn't mean that this is stuff we expect the goons to already know/not need reminding of, I meant when the problem eventually comes up.

(In the codex I meant things like a simple/simplified/layman's report on how psychics work in-universe (Are there only telekinetics, or telepaths too?), or the leading theory about how super-strength (if it is one of the 'stock superpowers' in the world) functions despite the limitations of the frame they are built on.

It wouldn't have to be the RIGHT theory, just a PLAUSIBLE theory. :P)
