Your Overlords Declare:
Alexis_Royce, December 11th, 2016, 11:19 am

End of chapter! And forgive Alice for being unsettled. Rough night. But there's a first time for everything.

Coloring by Megan this week!

Also, we've a new vote incentive, which you can view here.

Kevin's file at the company needs to be updated to include his weakness. Though is it Alice specifically or an all around faith in humanity.

Y'know. Assuming the kid survived that.

I hope he's okay.

Grab the device!
I am quite disappointed that she just went to van. She made the device and knows that she should just rip it out of his head. Tsk tsk.

Uhh...you sure you're up for this villain stuff? Killing the good guys is kind of in your job description. Oh well, she should get de-sensitized to it if she does it again.

Also I agree with the above people, grab the device. That thing makes people super heroes. Take it, then have your breakdown. Villains shouldn't care about breaking a few eggs to achieve their goals.

Kenny looks adorably awkward in that incentive, but I see his hand! <3

And another vote for taking the upgrade. Then again, we never said she and Kinny are particularly /good/ villains...*sigh* But it does seem rather obvious. She must be really shaken up. Which is odd, given that she was responsible for fruitcaking that one guy. ...Indirectly.

Is this really her first direct kill? Or is it more how close to dying she came?

Then again, could be the light. Might be a homing beacon for more powerful heroes -- thus the rush. But don't you have time to grab the device?!

Come on Alice. Have you learned nothing from popular culture. Plug him in the head while he's down. Never take it for granted that a hero is dead.

MiskisM (Guest), December 14th, 2016, 12:47 am

Why the guilt? You are villain, "doubble-tap" him, rip chip out and get out.

MrocnyZbik (Guest), December 14th, 2016, 11:22 am

Yes! I'm so happy now. If Alice shoot the bastard in the face before leaving I could die happy.

drako234 (Guest), December 16th, 2016, 3:09 pm

she already killed her land lord I don't know what her problem is.

First I want to take stock of what happened:
Alice tackled Kevin and in the process both of them went over the edge of the roof. As they began to fall Kevin used his telekinesis to brake their fall. But after a undetermined short moment his telekinesis failed to support both Alice and him. So Kevin decided to only brake Alice' fall until he hit the ground. Which part of Kevin hit the ground first is unknown(due to the framing), but from the pose it can be assumed it is the lower back/pelvis region. Alice was able to brake her fall by landing on her hands and entering a roll. As we see she sustained an injury of unknown degree to her left wrist in the process but is otherwise unharmed. The extend of Kevins injuries is unknown but can be to a degree guessed. First of all he will most likely have several broken/cracked vertebrae in his lower spine and a cracked/broken pelvic bone. Furthermore the contusions on his spine will lead to swelling that will block his spinal cord at least partially. As for head injuries, Kevin will at least have a severe concussion and perhaps a cracked skull.

After taking stock of what happened I want to share my conclusions. I'm going to start with the outlook for Kevin. The best case scenario for him, assuming medical assistance arrives quick, is that he will spent several weeks in an ICU where the physicians will set his bones and treat his contusions. After this he will spent the next months in a wheel chair while doing rehab exercises. And in two to three years he is probably well enough to live a normal life. As for the worst case scenario I am just going to say death isn't even at the half way point between best and worst case and is closer to the best case. After the outlook for Kevin I want to examine the current situation. Alice has probably come to the conclusion that Kevin will have received the information where to find her and the minions by some outside source and that this source is also likely to monitor the situation. And this means for her that reinforcement is most likely already on the way and it is best to leave as quickly as possible. It is unlikely that she has seen the red light emanating from Kevins right wrist, but if she did it would only reassure her in her decision. As for Alice' emotional reaction, she most likely has an adrenalin rush right now and is therefore in a fight or flight state. This also means that she is easily angered right now by anything that hinders her in executing any decision. As for the near future it is possible that she will enter an emotional shock as soon as she has the time to think the events through. For the farther future an escalation in the fight between Dr. Kinesis and the Company can be expected.

On a side note I have to say that Kevin isn't very bright. Okay he can only handle one object at a time with his telekinesis, so why didn't he use it to lift himself and catch Alice with his arms and hold her while he descends to the ground? Why did he try to levitate both of them as individual objects? If he can continue his fight he should definitely train more emergency situations.

P.S. Before anybody says my best case scenario for Kevins outlook is too pessimistic, I want to point out that I based it on our current (real world) medical capabilities. I understand that they(or at least the company) will have probably much better medical treatments available then we have. So before you write that Kevin will be up and running in a week, keep in mind that in real life he would need a lot of time to fully heal(if ever).

Well? Anyone?
So where did that light in frame 4 (right side of the 3 mini frames) come from?
